PURPOSE
The Conservare Institute for the Common Arts is a community of skilled artisans and craftsmen expressing a love for the "Historic Common Arts" and trades. Together, we seek to work with students to nurture an understanding that we were created to create and creating is a process - an equation that involves both thoughtful intention, successes and failures. At CICA, students will develop and fine-tune their skills as tradesmen, artisans, and hobbyists in the Historic Common Arts with the intent of honoring what they were created to be.
MISSION
Teaching the historic common arts to protect and preserve the skills and structures of the past for generations to come.
